Are these the final 2 options for the new school catchment?

Yes.  After our extensive review of the area, it was decided these represented the best options.  The new school will primarily serve areas in the existing Mountain catchment where there are current enrolment pressures and extensive development is expected.

Why would only a small portion of a street be included and not an entire neighbourhood?

The option to include this area was based on proximity to the proposed catchment, the availability of busing and the opportunity to ease the enrolment pressures at McMillan.

Did the district consider other areas (i.e. Glen Mountain, Prince Charles catchment)?

All areas adjacent to the new school have been considered.

Why did the district do a blanket survey for anyone to reply and not just consult with the affected families on Cameron Crescent?

The district is seeking feedback on the entire new catchment which includes a large portion of the Mountain catchment.

What will the outdoor space at the new school look like?

Eagle Mountain Park will serve as the primary outdoor play space for the new school.  In addition, there are outdoor learning and play spaces adjacent to the school.

Will considerations related to educational programming be factored into this review?

All submissions (questions/comments) received will be considered in this process, including those related to specific educational programming requirements.
